Is it worth studying in Australia ?
Here is a question from one of the users on Monash University community page on Orkut.
Query: HI everyone... i want to inform that that i would like to offend no one on the following matter and i just want to report a person's opinion.Alright now that we are done with the formalities... one of my friend who is studying in Monash university of th course MIT says that opting for IT master course in Monash or any other Australian university is just a waste of money and its all together a fund riser and not worth it... Is it true?.. pls share your opinion so that we can throw some light on this matter and help everyone... thanks in advance to all.

Please remember education and PR are two different things. We always need to remember that PR or work visas in most of the countries is just direct result of demand and supply.In todays market IT market in Australia is flooded with local talet because of a lot of companies laying off people and sending jobs oversea. When local people with the talent do not have any jobs Govt. in any country would not like to have more people brought in on skilled migration. That is why Australia and many other countries rescently changed their immigration laws.Now coming to Monash or any other university in Australia as per education standards,Most of Australian universities high rankings and standards, but it does not mean that would help you to get residency or jobs in Australia because of demand and supply reason I have expained abover. This rule is not only applicable to IT but rest of the skilled migration categories.Once there is more demand and less supply we will see these countries opening their doors for immigrants.
